Lili was born in Manila, Philippines.  Her mother is of Filipino descent and her father was Portuguese-American.  Lili came to America at the age of four and can still recall the mountainous terrain which she and her family crossed as they moved from the west to east coast.  Lili remembered how much she admired the shapes and colors of the mountains and always tried to include them in her drawings and paintings as a child.  As a student, Lili's teachers noticed her artistic abilities.  She was often called upon to create murals for plays and other school events.

Although Lili's career in a publishing company did not involve art, she continued to draw and paint whenever possible.  She participated in several art workshops in the North Shore area of Massachusetts and was a member of the Lynnfield Art Guild in the mid 80s.  She always enjoyed working on school projects with her children.  Seeing the positive impact that her artwork had on her children and many others, Lili's interest and enthusiasm for art grew stronger through the years.

In 2001 Lili's early retirement from her full time employment allowed her the time and opportunity to concentrate on her love of art.  Believing in her obvious talent, Lili's loving husband, Jeff, suggested she pursue her life-long dream to become an artist.  With his encouragement, Lili began her new journey.  She picked up her paint brushes and began to paint.

Lili studied with several of New Hampshire's highly respected artists including Robert Carsten, James Aponovich, Stuart Ober and Peter Dixon.  She enjoys the Continuing Education program at the New Hampshire Institute of Art where she is inspired by the area's talented artists.  She believes that to be a proficient artist is a life long process -- "learn and create each day".  Lili works in a variety of mediums which includes, oil, acrylic, pastel, watercolor and gouache.

Lili resides in Windham, New Hampshire.  She enjoys traveling with her husband and spending precious moments with her children/grandchildren.  She is an active member of several area artist associations and a frequent art exhibitor throughout New England.  Inspiration for her art come from travel and an appreciation of all arts.  Her heroes include but not limited to:  Monet, VanGogh, Renoir, DaVinci and Turner.
